anyone?
Is there any fix for the icons?? Id like to know about this as well
The plugin does nothing to the icons, so this appears to be a CSS issue.
Searched through the code for a while but couldn't find anything. Just noticed in the the database table: lum_user each user has a field for icon which is a link to the image at size medium. You can change this to small but only one at a time... when I get home I'll see if I can find where the entry into the database is made, maybe somebody here already knows?
This value is reset each login time by
mod/vanillaforum/get_icon_url.php
So at least you need to change the code only in one place and all the values will be reset when the users are re-authenticated.
You'll see that get_icon_url.php just returns
$user->getIcon();
so it leaves the icon url up to Elgg.
As I said, I really think what you need to do is to tweak the Vanilla CSS to display Elgg icons they way you want them rather than doing anything at the Elgg end. Replacing $user->getIcon() with something hardcoded would break Facebook and Twitter icons, for example.
Thanks for the tip!! Saved me a few hours lol.
I edited the file mod/vanillaforum/get_icon_url.php and swapped
for
After logging out and back in this updates the icon url and looks near perfect! :D - Hope this helps David and Fusion
Next mission: how to change it from displaying the username to the full name like what's shown in elgg
that worked perfect
Had to return as some one else :)
Looks like a great solution... and tried it... the weird thing is, that it seems to be ignoring get_icon_url.php completely... I eventually put in some mistakes (deliberate) to break it... and nothing.
Is there a url address issue that I am making?
