I need someone who can modify the ELGG calendar so it works like a real social or organizational website calendar...my site is useless without a real calendar
it must allow recurring events
it must allow email invites
it must send auto-reminders
it must allow rsvps
These features are on all basic social calendars...Google, Meetup, Facebook etc..

You must log in to post replies.Hi Tony, I want a better calendar as well with RSVP, and a few other additions as well... perhaps we could talk about joint funding? If others are interested as well, then perhaps they could contribute as well?
I'd be in on this. I've been looking at this neat ajax calendar: http://www.dhtmlx.com/docs/products/dhtmlxScheduler/index.shtml
I think Kevin's Calendar was a great stop gap when elgg had none (it's lack was described as a show stopper... not kidding) but I think it is definately time to revisit this.
I would like to see a calendar a bit like the one suggested by Anna, or perhaps like the Google Calendar. In short, I guess anything clean, clear and functional. The group, user and site options are essential, I posted a couple of other things along this line, please see:

Again, I would be very happy to chip in some cash for development if others want to join in.

@Mark, a bit off topic but I couldn't open your mindmap PDF. Perhaps using http://www.xmind.net/ might be a better solution for collaborative mindmapping. Just a thought.
Hi Anna, interesting... it worked for me.
Anyway, I have put up standard pdf files which I hope you will have better luck with:

Xmind looks really nice, I have not tried it. I use MindJet, have you tried it?
