so i was having an insanely hard time getting elgg to load on my subdomain. finally got it to work (( the error seem'd to be the elgg was assigning a bad location for my site )) -- still need to do some domain masking as it doesn't work properly on my subdomain (( ie if i got to http://subdomain.host.com it doesn't work but if i go to http://host.com/subdomain it does )). i think this can be solved via masking w/ godaddy.
however, when i log in it takes me to a blank dashboard (( nothing shows on the page, not even a 404 or anything )). tried activating river dashboard, still nothing.
got a ton of help from the forums w/ the 404 errors i was getting, but can't seem to find anything on this .. any help ??

You must log in to post replies.so i turned activity river on && this seems to have fixed the issue (:
Elgg does a decent job at guessing on the base url. Some hosts have weird setups that cause problems. There is information on the Elgg Docs on troubleshooting installs.
