Is there a way that each user of elgg has his own theme?
Or instead of each user, can we have a theme for admin role and other theme for the rest? I think that way could be easer because the user don't have to choose a theme, it's already set.
Is that possible?

I'm interested in this as well. Like having a custom theme for each user's page, for more personalization. i.e. my profile page will not look like your profile page.
Is it feasible given the current system?
Hi,
Take a look at the customstyle plugin: http://community.elgg.org/pg/plugins/jdalsem/read/384668/customstyle
You couls also use themeswitcher:

Hi,
Interesting thread. I can't find anywhere in the elgg community if anyone knows how it is possible to have ONE group within an existing community to have it's own theme while all the other groups remain the default view.
I have played around with plugin ordering and extending and overriding views but no success so far. It's probably really simple, right?
Thanks for reading.

@Rahul
I think I could manage this but it would involve a minor rewrite of the main plugin... trouble is I'm busy at the moment and will be for a few weeks. What version of elgg are you using?
Hi,
I'm usin the 1.7 version. I tried Mytheme plugin, that is kind of a theme switcher. Each user selects his own theme and when somebody sees his profile, see it in the theme that the user choose. But this plugin still have some bugs: http://community.elgg.org/pg/plugins/brett.profitt/read/384538/my-theme
I'm going to try to change a little bit, because i want to set a theme for a group of users and they have to see the entire elgg with that theme. And the others have to see it with another theme.
If anyone has another solution, let us all know.
thanks.
@jededitor
Thanks for replying. Unfortunately I don't have two weeks to wait, the Elgg Version is 1.5.
I think hook code is the answer but I'm a novice at writing it, especially in Elgg. Can you offer any pointers?
Thanks

I have the same question, i want that each user can change the theme only in your profile page.
That my-theme plugin from Brett that i posted before is a really good start. I changed the way i needed and worked perfect!
I'm also extremely interested in having separate themeing for users and group pages. I've tried all the ones mentioned here but none seem to work anywhere near well enough.
Ideally, users account pages (profile, dashboard, added pages) should have their own stylesheets and images.
I also need the same thing for group pages. I'd be interested in talking to a developer who could create this for me.
