Everything seems to work great, the only item I saw was that the user icon doesn't come up. I had a few other plugins have the same issue, like Vazco_Gmap. I didn't know if this was an easy tweak. I love this plugin I have used it a while and love it.

I got the problem also. The icon doesnt come up. I tried to edit the iconredirect things code.. but still gives blank icon.
what happens if you invoke
mod/vanillaforum/get_icon_url.php?username=XXXX
directly and then look at the URL it returns?
Ups sorry it gives ..
http://localhost/mod/profile/icondirect.php?lastcache=1267934372&username=xxxxa&size=medium
just a text ... http://localhost/mod/profile/icondirect.php?lastcache=1267934372&username=xxxx&size=medium
Yes, it is supposed to be text. It is a URL.
What happens when you view this URL?
That should show an icon.
@Kevin Yes it shows a text http://localhost/mod/profile/icondirect.php?lastcache=1267934372&username=xxxx&size=medium
Well, that has nothing to do with Vanilla forum then.
That URL is supposed to show an icon, and it does for me under Elgg 1.6 and Elgg 1.7.
I tried it with simplecache turned on and off and it works both ways.
So it sounds like you have an image display problem generally.
Perhaps a problem with another plugin?
I will try it. Thanks Kevin.
Hey Kevin,
http://test.liveintake.net/mod/profile/icondirect.php?lastcache=1267934372&username=jimmy45455&size=medium
This returns my icon no problem. Vanilla doesn't seem to grab the image, this worked on 1.6 but seemed to stop working at 1.7. What happened on Vazco_Gmap is the profile pics on the map became blank so I am wondering if the change to 1.7 altered the way an image is referenced?
The Vanilla code just executes $user->getUrl() and that has not changed. So at this point I'm sceptical that your problem has anything to do with Elgg 1.7.
Cheers,
Kevin
