After clean installation of Elgg I have no widgets for dashboard or main page, but if I'm using plugins like vazco_mainpage, the widgets mystically appears (only for the main page). How to enable dashboard widgets? Thanks in advance.

You must log in to post replies.Dashboard widgets work fine for me under Elgg 1.7 and this problem has never been reported before to my knowledge.
I think you must be having a problem with a third party plugin.
I suggest turning off everything except the core plugins and then re-enabling the plugins until you find one that is causing the problem.
Thank you for advice, but that doesn't help at all, I still have no widgets in the dashboard.

Are you really sure that you have turned off everything but the core plugins?
Make sure that groups and files are turned on as they are core plugins and both generate widgets.
Thank you, I've enabled groups and file plugins, and they immediately displayed as dashboard widgets. Can you tell me, where can I find info about core plugins?
The core plugins are the ones included in the Elgg 1.7 download package.
