Hello all.
I am trying to install Elgg ver. 1.7.6. Everything went quite well, until I got to the System Setting page, which I filled out. Yet when I clicked the save button, I get:
OOPS!....Page Error 404 has occurred.
Any help wil be greatly appreciated, and if more information is needed, please do not hestitate to ask.

The # is what disables them, btw.
If your .htaccess does not have these in it, you must have not gotten past the initial system settings. Did you upload the zip to your server and then unarchive in your file manager? I was unsuccessful installing via FTP the files individually.
Thank you for responding again. I fixed the problem, I needed to make htaccess_dist, the .htaccess file instead.
Thank you again for your help. :)
