"please help me" ?
stop crying like a child and try to learn some coding. look at the elgg table called "river" - that is where you can delete older river entries.
if not know how to handle code.. hire somebody who knows ;-)
#!../bin/bash
# CRON x 15mins, PHP CLI := fixriver.php
echo ".********************************************"
echo ".START::fixriver.SH:: "$DATE
date
echo ".OK"
LOGFILE=var/fixriver_$(date +%Y_%m_%d).log
echo ".********************************************"
echo ".START::fixriver:: "$DATE
date
php /www/httpdocs/mod/fixriver.php > LOGFILE
# ************************************************************************
date
echo ".&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&"
echo ".END::fixriver.SH"
echo ".&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&"
# ************************************************************************
exit
@ DhrupDeScoop, I am alreay learning coding actualy I am new to elgg.
Thanks for suggestion I will try this today.
okii..
i might help you more ;-)
the table "river" has the field called
" int(11)"
this is a unix epoc date-time field
you will need some basic mysql statements to delete all river entries past 15 days etc..
did anyone get this figured out? is there a plugin that does this?
the php/mysql code to do this is very basic, not hard at all ;-) whether in a plugin or a free standing utility...
@stuart : you can try the river entry delete plugin here. The plugin is a commercial one available in our stores.
@ Team Webgalli
with this plugin you suggest can I set up an automatic delete. like every user only keeps two weeks wroth of river entries?
@stuart : not in the current release. But with a little modification, you can create a cron hook and delete the entries
@ Team Webgalli
is their a way we can pay for a custom plugin from you guys that does this for us?
