where do I install a plugin at (in which folder)? I'm a noo-B, so please excuse my lack of knowledge. There is probably a thread for this already, so I apologize in advance, but I couldn't find it.

Hi Ted and welcome to the community,
You can find helpful guides to issues like this at docs.elgg.org. Don't hesitate to ask for help, but the docs have plenty of information to help you out on your quest of elggdom.
Can I remove the dashboard from all users? I have messed it up with a plugin (I guess), and would just like to remove it. Is that possible?
Thanks,
Ted
What plugin are you using? You could use either the Default Dashboard of Riverdashboard

I am using Riverdashboard. And now I've really messed things up. When a user logs in, the first page they go to is "dashboard". I need to change that so that when a user logs in the first page they go to is another page (either main index page or their profile or "the wire"). Can you tell me how to do that?
Thanks,
Ted
to help clarify the problem, after log-in, a user is taken to:
social.coffeecountyweb.com/pg/dashboard/ (which now shows a fatal error)
I would really like them to go to:
social.coffeecountyweb.com/pg/thewire/all (after log-in)
Is this possible? If so, how?
Thanks,
Ted
Use this plugin:

Oh my Gosh!! It worked. My site is up & running and how I want it to look. Thanks RJ! You're the best. Those few minutes of your time spared me hours of aggravation and stress. Thanks a bunch!
