Is there a function that calls the registeration form. I want to have private pages, but want to display the registeration form, incase the new user want to register. Currently I tried to put the whole register.php code there, but it is a constant headache. Any solutions will be great.
Thanks

@Team Webgalli - Sorry it does not work. I am designing the theme for elgg 1.8 and using /custome_index, this might help out. I tried what you mentioned, but nothing is showing up.
Thanks
I tried this
<?php
echo elgg_view('forms/register');
?>
it show up, but there is a problem, when a new user registers and inserts all the info and when they click on register nothing happens.
echo elgg_view_form('register');
Thanks Brett, it worked perfectly fine.
@fareed, which version you are using? the one we said is for elgg<1.7.11

I am trying to have a description of my site show up on the login /register page. The brief description on basic settings does not seem to appear anywhere on the site. Also where and how would I code in such a description for non-users to see before they register. I have tried to do it with the custom index plugin without success. Please advise.
