Hi,
How to use the Developers Tools plugin in the Dmin's section?
I am lost with this plugin? With the options/settings that this plugin provide I see that its a good tool for development. But not sure how to use it.
I wish to find out which view is being used by ELGG for a particular page. Hope its possile to find out with this tool.
Thanks in advance for you reply.

You must log in to post replies.this tool is very helpfull if you search a view
when you look in e. g. firebug you see e. g.
<!-- developers:begin page/components/image_block -->
so you know which view was used . . .
If you're looking to identify the views on a given section of a page use http://community.elgg.org/pg/plugins/project/714742/developer/aszepeshazi/content-debugger
Thanks Manfred and Matt.
So is the developer plugin to be run along with firebug application?
I would like to use the developer plugin for other purpose as I read about it, not just to get the view names.
The content-debugger tool looks awesome. Thanks Matt for letting me know about this tool. :)
I think the only capability with the current developer tools plugin that requires something like Firebug is the view discovery.
Thanks Cash.
There is no necessary document on using the Developer Tools for generating plugin template and such things.
Any light thrown on this will be much helpfull to me. :)
