Out of curiosity - what is the state of GSoC projects for Elgg? Are there any deadlines for release of particular features?

You must log in to post replies.@Mike I was wondering the same thing. I saw some pretty interesting projects for Elgg.
The code is in github for the two projects that were completed (web services and ajax). We haven't discussed how to release them to the community.
In case someone searches for ajaxify, it's here:
https://github.com/blacktooth/elgg-ajaxify/
(it took me a while to find it)
And tachyon's web services @
GSoC Elgg tachyon/elgg-ajaxify GitHub
Is that okay to use the blacktooth's Ajaxify in ELGG 1.8.1 sites?
I believe its a library for developers. Or its built in to Core too?
The requirement section(https://github.com/blacktooth/elgg-ajaxify/wiki/Install) says "Elgg version > 1.8 beta 2" and in the Q&A section its mentioned as 1.8.2.
Purus, I think this plugin don't contain much of usefull code. Probably as it's mentioned in changes.txt, most of the code was integrated into core Elgg
Everyone, make sure you look at the GSoC branch of the repository. The master branch is what Evan did and yes, it was brought into Elgg 1.8. The GSoC branch has ajax code for many of the bundled plugins.
