I was wondering if the elgg admins could make something like that? Normally i dont know if one is updated until i search back in the activity section.
It would be just like the most recent plugins and the other tab but just for recently updated plugins.

We will shortly be rolling out the ability to have your Elgg site check if any of your plugins have been updated. Big thanks to RayJ for his work on this. Be sure to thank him.
That's excellent news, I was thinking of working on something along these lines. Thanks RayJ, looking forward to seeing it roll out into production.
The 1.7 plugin is near completion. After that, we need a few days to release a 1.8 version. But the plugin works like a charm. I am sure that you will like it.
And thanks to cash too. The dirty job belongs to then.
Nice! :) Thanks loads Cash and Ray J! God bless! Keep up the good work!
Thanks Ray J and Cash for this. :)
@Ray: Will your code be a part of the core or as a plugin?
Personally I feel that this piece of code should be part of the core.
@Purus: I think that 1.7 version will be a community plugin, but 1.8 will be a core plugin. Lets cash talk about it.
Hope Cash will be also okay with this. :)
Yes, Ray and I discussed this. Elgg 1.8 will included this built-in. Maybe in Elgg 1.8.3.
is it just an information that a new release is available.. or will it actually import the release? anyway.. rocks hard and definitely needed.
is this a good time to mention a general update service? meaning from 1.9 -> 1.9.1 and so on..
