Hello there!
Let me start by saying how impressed I am with Elgg. What a hidden treasure it has proven to be :)
I was wondering if anyone knew of an existing plugin which gives the functionality to keep a history of a file. Say someone wrote a document, but another user improves upon it, they should be able to upload the new document while still keeping the old document as a previous version to revert to in case of negative feedback.
Again, majorly impressed!
Best regards

You must log in to post replies.I believe it's a default functionality in pages plugin.
Thanks Ismayil! :)
Do you know if there is such a thing for file handling in general? So that would be a history for not just written document (or pages), but also pdf files, mp3's.

There is no such existing plugin. But you can extend the file plugin so that, the newer versions are created as new entities and then do create a relationship between these new entities and the existing file plugin.
If it's just the upload history, then you can just duplicate the functionality from the pages plugin. If you need something like google docs, then it's more complicated.
