Hi:
I'm starting to build a social network for my company and they need a Conference module (not VideoConference). This conference module needs offline support so when a topic is posted invited users can leave post whenever they want to so there is not need for online support or chatting support. A conference is like a blog entry but with the main difference I need to add 3 options of publication: anonymous, partially anonymous and public. If conference owner or publisher pick anonymous then not usernames are showed never even for conference owner, if pick partially anonymous then usernames are showed for conference owner and if pick public then usernames are visible to everyone even to people invited to the post/topic. Any plugin do this? Any help?

You must log in to post replies.I don't think there's anything existing to do that, but it can be done if you want to spend the time to learn how, convince someone to to it, or head on over to professional services and hire someone.
I haven't any problem in do it by myself because I know PHP around 9 years by now. Where I should start? Any point of reference or tips or screencast or something else?
Cheers and thanks for your answer
well, knowing php is definitely the first step :)
If you haven't programmed for elgg before there is still a bit of a learning curve to go through as it has an MVC model you need to get familiar with - then there's the API that is very useful, but again, takes some time to really get to know.
Luckily we have some docs:
