Hi,
I'm very new to Elgg but I'm php programer for over 10 years and I need few hints from you :)
Standard tinymce has only ULR option for inserting image, I need option that user can upload file to my host (not to use standard file upload, I do not want that file to be visible in Files), and than use it in his/her posted mesage.
Is there already such Plugin?
I know hot to make php file upload, I know to put file to server but I need instruction how to join this with Elgg :)
Sorry for my bad English, I hope you understand what I need.
Thank you all :)

You must log in to post replies.1. Extend the ElggFile class with your own Class for a new entity subtype
2. Use add_subtype to tell Elgg which class to use for your new subtype
Huh ... little to hard for me, as I said I'm new to elgg :)
Elgg have file upload in Embed content, it is ok, I just need an option that user upload an image for using it inside the some text, post, ... and not for anything else, so I want that this image is not visible in Files section by any one, and visible in Embed only by user who has upload it.
For examle, I'writing an blog about weather today, and beside the text I want to put some sunny image from my computer ... this image has no meaning outside my blog so it is not for Files section.
Is there easy way to do this ... :)
Thank You :)
No easy way. Solution doesn't change. Learn your way around Elgg or hire a developer.

There are some extensions for tinymce called tinybrowser. There is also a commercial extension for tinymce from the moxiecode team, which allows you to add fileupload option in tinymce. You can also google for file upload option in tinymce or WYSIWYG editor with file upload option and replace tinymce with any editor you need.
