Just wondering if it is a good or bad idea to use elgg with cloudflare. Does anyone know?

We've got Cloudflare on one of our elgg sites, even a subdomain, reDreamhost, for past month and hasn't caused us any problems so far.
It's a 1.7 site. Haven't upgraded to 1.8 yet, waiting for Tidypics.
Hi Ron great to hear. I'm on 1.7 too. Thank you kindly for letting me know.
If I may ask, just wondering if you have notice an increase in speed for your site?
Once again thank you.
At first, takes at least 3 or 4 seconds to access but once cached, it shows speed, also protects you from spambots and is great!
Hello ALL,
Does any one face issue issue with Cloudflare regarding access restriction (it means does your data shared with any one with access restriction please suggest !!)
i have used cloudflare and have now switched to incapsula since incapsula was shown to have superior security - though cloudflare does presently boost performance more. if you are only interested in performance then cloudflare is probably a better choice - if you are interested in security then i recommend exploring incapsula. both have free services.
i'm not sure what the question you are asking is saurabh; maybe you can rephrase that with different words?
@@ Ura, thanks for your reply.. Let me try to explain you the problem. Normally when you use caching server your page got cache for some time (let’s say for 1 hr) now user ID and user page content also got cache with cache server. Now at the same time other user try to login at the same time but due to caching other user is also able to see first user full content or some of the content.. This is the normal problem with caching..
I am trying to ask does anyone faces such type of the issue with "cloudflare"
ah ok. cloudflare only serves cached static pages as far as i am aware.. it didn't function well for me, so i moved to test incapsula. however, i probably didn't do every task that cloudflare recommended to configure my site.
@@ As per my understanding cloudflare is number 1 in the market .. and you can get similer type of services from lot of other provider one more I know "modsecurity"
