Google Hosted CDN javascript Libraries?

The Google Hosted Libraries is a content distribution network for the most popular, open-source JavaScript libraries. The hosted libraries provides access to a growing list of the most popular, open-source JavaScript libraries, including:

Google works directly with the key stake holders for each library effort and accepts the latest stable versions as they are released. Once we host a release of a given library, we are committed to hosting that release indefinitely.

  • cloudflare does work and i love it! right now i'm on the FREE plan which still provides your elgg site with a major boost in performance and also it protects your site from spammers by giving them a captcha if their IP is blacklisted. the service also optimizes your css/js files by crunching it and removing white spaces without any part on your end. here's a screen shot of my current stats

^ as you can see, requests are processed by cloudflare instead of my server so this reduces resources on my end.

  • i just set my site up with cloudflare - (appfog confused me and had errors)..

after loading (and thus caching) the site pages 1-2 times, the site now loads in half the time.. but not just in my local region, also globally (according to pingdom's tests - at least for europe and usa areas).

i'm not sure i really like the idea of a 3rd party group acting as a 'doorman' for my site, but for now i will continue the tests as the speed increase is noticable; thanks for sharing the link.

  • Thanks all for sharing your experience. I will try again and will share my experience. As currently I do Not seen any performance boost in my site. Is there any special configuration needs to be made at CND ,elgg or at server side. I want to try free first then I will go for paid option.

  • There's nothing to configure except pointing your nameservers to cloud flares
