i am using
Videos 1.4
http://community.elgg.org/plugins/740863/1.4/videos-plugin-for-elgg-18
i am using this:
http://community.elgg.org/plugins/814895/1.8.1/videolist
to find the view you need to change you could enable the developer plugin and turn on the option 'wrap views' which will add comments to the html of each page to show which part of the page is being rendered by which view. when you see which view is creating the youtube video embed you can find that view in the video plugin and open it/ edit it.
how about editing video plugin as it is a more easy plugin to use etc i am still stuck, as the plugin you mention needs a lot more skill than i have your kind of skill to get it working, also all the videos will be lost and theres a lot of videos and text etc
videolist is in no way more complicated than any other video plugin. regardless, i already pointed you to the way to update the one you are using.
i see, i understud most of what you said but can not find the file with the bit i can chnage from http to https : ( thanks for trying to help i really appreciate if you have any more advice please tell me
installed the plugin you recommended see how it goes : )
works but you can not add information or pictures to a video like a description etc, would be nice if i could get the other plugin working, i have both enabled at the same time will disable the other see if there is any difference
you can edit the description for videos once you have saved them.. the description is imported from the source site, e.g. youtube.
i agree that a better approach would be to import the details automagically and then allow us to edit them on that first page.
i see just checked now yes it is the same as the other plugin, just you can only add descrition etc after you post it which is very inconvieniant lol but i have no paid so cant really say to much but would like it to be the same as http://community.elgg.org/plugins/740863/1.4/videos-plugin-for-elgg-18
i will add an issue to the github project for this description issue (i might have already done that months ago)
