Hello all!
I'm new to elgg and I've got things up and running pretty smoothly, aside from one tiny problem. I have installed Cometchat and used the included elgg integration.php file. Unfortunately, the avatars do not work with said integration file, as (from what I can tell) accessing the icondirect.php file requires the joindate variable to work, which the file does not make use of.
function getAvatar($image) {
$str = BASE_URL."../mod/profile/icondirect.php?guid=".$image."&size=medium";
return $str;
}
This is what is used to get the avatar for Cometchat (as per my integration file). Is there a patch job I can work with? Or does someone happen to have a function for getting the joindate via the guid?
Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Are following the Cometchat guide? I've done Cometchat installation and this might require assistance from the Cometchat team.

Hi, even I was facing similar issue. I created a ticket for with the CometChat team and got my issue solved. :)
How about the ometchat? It works well on elgg?
@FishKin: would it be possible for you to share what CometChat told you how to fix this problem!! My license for CometChat has expired, and I believe, to generate a ticket, it costs!!
thanks
@Camden, elgg api for getting avatars has changed, so you need to create a new ticket on comet chat to fix this error,
This is not elgg error!
Thanks
We usually alter our integration making the DB_AVATARFIELD constant reference the username. Looks something like this:
@Steve Clay, hey when you have added page handler to get avater? ops i didn't even realize it!
