You must log in to post replies.Forgot to add, best would be if it was just displayed for group pages.
Trying to understand this now: http://community.elgg.org/discussion/view/1201565/changing-bookmark-rss-delete-and-like-menu-items (seems similar)
Use elgg_register_menu('extras');
Always its better to dig into the code as the first option instead of throwing a question to the community and waiting for the reply.
Yes you are right of course, but I have been digging for a while and felt I was missing something cruicial (and it seemed that it can't be that difficult).
So far I had it showing up in a seperate line, but I will try the call you mentioned on monday.
Thanks for the help.
@Krischan
elgg_register_menu_item('extras', array(
'name' => 'my_item',
'href' => 'my_link',
'text' => elgg_view_icon('my-elgg-icon') . elgg_echo('my:item'),
'title' => elgg_echo('my:item:tooltip'),
'priority' => 600,
));

I tried this and didn't have any luck getting it to work. I think I was editing the correct file but nothing but the number 1 appeared on the page. I was editing /views/default/page/elements/sidebar.php
I was thinking it would be nice to have a Facebook Like button there.
