Content Subscriptions v3.1

Release Notes

3.1 (2016-01-21):

  • added: group discussion owners get notified about replies
  • changed: moved inline JS for personal notification settings to AMD
  • fixed: using wrong namespace for ElggBatch
  • I am interested in this plugin but I cannot make it work. It is supposed that I have the plugin activated but it doesn't work. I am using content subscriptions 3.1 in elgg 1.12 and with notifier plugin. Which order is necessary for the plugins?

    Thanks

  • @Hermi

    This plugin is great and working fine in my environment: elgg v1.12.11, content_subscriptions v3.1 & notifier v1.10.1. As I know, there is no dependency between these 2 plugins: content_subscription & notifier.

    Have you checked the "Receive notifications when comments get posted on content you subscribed to" notifier checkbox in your account "Settings/Notifications" "Personal notifications"?

    If you still have the issue, you can try a very similar plugin: Comment Tracker

    @Jerome

    "Comment tracker" and "content subscriptions" are very similar and are both very good plugins.

    However, I have a small preference to "Comment tracker" because of its notifications settings ("Comment notifications") offering the ability to display a page containing all the subscribed content ("View content you're subscribed to")

    I had a look into "Comment tracker"'s code, and it seems not a big deal to add a similar feature into "Content subscriptions" plugin. But the real question is why having 2 good plugins doing the same thing? I know this question has been asked before... But it is always difficult to choose between these 2 plugins.

    ;) We (Matt and I) know about the similarities between the plugins.

    This sounds like a good feature
