Thanks, i certainly will add some bugs in the tracker
as for widget placement ... me being the administrator, do i have something to say as well? :-)
It is nice that users can decide where a widget should go, but me as administrator i want to enforce placement of certain widgets, or even do not want to offer widget placemement possibility to users.
@wannabe - in the admin area there is a spot for setting the default widgets. These default widgets are used for new users only.
Is there currently/or will be an upgrader tool from 1.7x to 1.8x? only reason I ask is I was going to copy the DB from my current site and test 1.8 in a non-production enviroment because at least it will be populated then?
Regards,
Adam
@djSupport -- Elgg already comes with the necessary scripts to upgrade a 1.7.x DB to a 1.8.x DB. Just follow the normal upgrade process.
Thanks Evan
Look forward to trying this out. Thanks for the huge effort you guys put into the core.
@Ruben, did you get 1.8 working on Nginx?
Can you share the complete rewrite .conf file and what version of Nginx you are running?
Much appreciated, Thanks. :)
