How to show one index page after instaling a plugin.........

Hi All
have just installed traveljunkies' plugin for replacing index page from here http://community.elgg.org/pg/plugins/traveljunkie/read/384300/custom-index
The problem i have now is that on the same page the two index pages are being shown how do i deactivate the default page.

@HCI, if you are using the custom_index pluggin of the core (i saw it enabled in your site) , no need of using travel junkies pluggin. Use anyone of the pluggin.
