You can also search videos using the Google API. I show tumbnails which can be directly added by a registered member. Could not be made easier.

I use my own theme, but I used Evan Winslow's theme as base. I defined different tabs, colored icons, etc..

Yes, but without the profiles, index, dashboard and composer.

In it's current form it is indeed to much work. I might suggest some changes and fixes to Evan's theme on github if he's willing to work with me. I fixed some crashes and changed the jquery css. The standard jquery css does not fit color with a blue/purple theme. It is orange, yellow and that is ugly (in my opinion)
