It's a bit annoying that my updated German translations of the webservices plugin are not included in the 2.3.15 release. Even more so as it could likely be the last 2.3 release before Elgg 2 retires as LTS. With making a commit that adds or changes language strings and then doing a new release immediately afterwards there's no chance to get any updated translations into the release. My Elgg 3 translations are not complete (lacking time and new releases still coming regularly) but I still kept the German translations in Elgg 2 at 100%!
Wait, is this true? Is elgg 2 going to be unsupported? Where's the roadmap?

Elgg 2 won't necessarily retire anytime soon! The plan would be to retire it with the release of Elgg 4. Roadmap shows no release date for Elgg 4 yet (and I do hope it will not be before PHP 8 is out to have at least 1 definite reason to upgrade in case Elgg 3 won't be fully compatible with PHP 8, too). But there were 11 months between the releases of Elgg 2.3.14 and 2.3.15. As there support of Elgg 2 is mainly about security issues only I wouldn't complain about no new Elgg 2 release becoming necessary either...
Thanks RvR
Wow nice! Thanks!
