I had set two required profile fields - the town and the biography.
When I first submitted the profile field with both these fields blank, I received a complaint about the missing town field (only). I filled that out and re-submitted the form. Then I got a complaint about the missing biography field. I filled that out as well and re-submitted the form.
The system then gave me a second error message about a missing town field. I went to the location tab and discovered that this field was blank. The information I had entered before was gone.
I then re-entered the town information and re-submitted the form. This time the information was accepted. I checked and both the biography and town information had been saved.
